The Sr. Facility Security Supervisor is responsible for all security related functions pertaining to their assigned facility. These functions include, but are not limited to, supervision of all security officers, the safeguarding of all company property from theft and vandalism, ensuring the verification and documentation of all persons and vehicles entering and exiting the assigned facility, to help coordinate and assist in providing a safe and secure environment for all visitors and employees, and to make certain that all company directives and procedures related to security are adhered to.Job Description:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervises and directs security officers who control on-site access of facility staff, vendors, visitors, and vehicular traffic (including all trucks conducting deliveries and pickups).
- Review, disseminate, and ensure all established procedures and directives are being adhered to by the security staff in order to protect all company assets and to provide a safe and secure environment for all employees and visitors.
- Develop and implement post orders/directives, as necessary, for their assigned facility.
- Monitor and evaluate job performance of staff on all shifts. Deficiencies must be addressed and corrective action, including disciplinary procedures, must be taken if necessary.
- Provide security orientation classes for all new employees.
- Oversee package and bag inspections to prevent illegal or unauthorized items from being brought into or removed from the facilities.
- Coordinate, supervise, and perform scanning checkpoints and locker inspections, as necessary,to ensure unauthorized items are not being allowed onto company property.
- Perform and/or ensure inspection of all incoming and outgoing truck shipments, making notation of necessary information on the required company documents and/or input into applicable computer systems.
- Maintain all security forms, logs, and reports for the facility, including but not limited to, Visitor Logs, Confidentiality Agreements, Truck logs, etc.
- Review all reports such as Security Incident Reports, for accuracy and thoroughness. Provides direction, as necessary.
- Ensure confidential disclosures are prepared and documented for all visitors of the facility.
- Conduct security audits as necessary.
- Review, edit, if necessary, and approve the security officer schedule in E-Time, monitor and approve overtime submitted by the deadline for each pay period.
- Review security operating procedures and processes and recommend improvements to enhance the safety and security of the facility.
- Liaison with service providers to ensure the proper maintenance and functioning of the security systems. These include the cameras, intercoms, holdup alarms, access controls, etc.
- Conduct quarterly checks of the holdup alarms to ensure they are functioning properly.
- Responsible for the upkeep and security of the video surveillance, access control, visitor management, and bio-metric systems, where applicable. These systems will be monitored on a daily basis.
- Participate in their assigned facility Safety Committee meetings.
- Liaison with local law enforcement agencies, conduct joint operations such as drills, inspections, etc. with local agencies such as law enforcement and fire department.
- Oversee and disseminate company identification cards and / or plant access via bio-metrics or other types of access control. Responsible for ensuring the security staff is properly granting and disabling employee and visitor access.
- Maintain and control the issuance of parking permits for all employees and visitors.
- Prepare Annual Performance Appraisal reviews of security staff.
- Maintain confidentiality on sensitive issues and information to ensure that the integrity of the company and employees is not jeopardized.

Education and Experience
- Associates Degree or higher, with training in Criminal Justice, Security Management, Crime Prevention, or related fields, and a minimum of 3 years supervisory experience in a security related field, or
- 7 years minimum in Security, Law Enforcement, Military, or similar, and a minimum of 3 years supervisory experience in a security related field.
