What are the responsibilities and job description for the Application Developer position at Delicato Family Wines?
Position Purpose
Under general supervision, the Application Developer provides appropriate automated solutions, recognizes opportunities for technological improvement and optimization. Utilizes business, functional and technical specifications to accurately design, develop, test, implement and enhance corporate applications and databases. Delivers end-to-end support of escalated support requests in accordance with IS service level agreements (SLAs).
Essential Duties
- Designs, tests, implements, and maintains complex programs and reports by utilizing business requirements through specifications from IS Business Relationship Managers (BRMs) and various Business Process Owners (BPOs).
- Applies appropriate methodologies and practices in developing relational databases and database objects and user Interfaces.
- Confirms program operation by conducting tests; modifying program sequence and/or codes.
- Troubleshoots technical issues and identifies modifications needed in existing applications to meet changing business requirements; recommends system controls and protocols.
- Escalates issues by recognizing severity and impact on users, business processes and other systems.
- Manages time efficiently by resolving urgent requests to meet SLAs.
- Provides users, team members and management with ongoing status of all activities by tracking project tasks, support requests or other activities in appropriate systems of record.
- Utilizes version control applications to organize and secure all development projects and code.
Non-Essential Duties
- Conducts team training sessions on updated and/or modified platforms and applications.
- Actively investigate new tools and methods to support and improve computing environment by maintaining professional and technical knowledge; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices.

Minimum Requirements
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent training/experience.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience with Visual Studio, VB.Net, HTML, ASP.Net
- Minimum of 3 years’ of utilizing Microsoft SQL server (or equivalent).
- Minimum 3 years’ experience with structured development methodology.
- SAP ABAP or ERP programming experience a plus.

- Proficient working knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft applications, Visual Basic.Net programming, and MS SQL Server queries/objects
- Strong skills in SQL Reporting Services, Crystal Reports & SAP ABAP (or ERP) desirable but not essential.
Certificates and Licenses
Microsoft Solution Developer Certification preferred.
Working Conditions
Work is primarily performed in an office environment, frequent use of a desk and chair. Office temperature sits between 67-72 degrees Fahrenheit.

California Pay Transparency Disclaimer: This is a Exempt position. The pay range for this position is $87,806.88 to $137,307.36. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. Actual placement within range will be contingent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, education, experience, internal equity and alignment with market data.
