Job Summary:
We are seeking a Senior HR/Administrative Assistant to support the Human Resources department and ensure the efficiency of office administration. This role involves handling HR-related tasks, improving administrative procedures, and maintaining compliance with company policies. Reporting directly to the HR Supervisor and HR Management, this role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
Administrative Responsibilities:
- Provide HR/Admin support to HR team members and company management.
- Perform office administrative and clerical tasks related to HR operations.
- Manage mail distribution, FedEx/UPS/USPS shipments, and deliveries.
- Maintain and update HR-related documentation, employee data, and benefit records.
- Organize company events and coordinate office operations for efficiency.
- Distribute HR-related information to employees.
HR Responsibilities:
- Oversee onboarding processes, including paperwork, scheduling, and new hire orientations.
- Serve as the first point of contact for HR-related inquiries, ensuring timely resolution.
- Assist with HR communications, including organizational charts, newsletters, and companywide announcements.
- Support benefits administration, open enrollment, and employee qualifying events.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local HR regulations.
- Assist in training employees on policies, procedures, and company updates.
Qualifications & Competencies:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in HR or a related field preferred.
- Experience: 3-5 years in an HR administrative role.
- Strong understanding of HR policies, procedures, and employment laws.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and multitasking skills.
- Effective communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- HR certifications (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) are a plus.
Work Environment & Expectations:
- Professional office setting with hybrid work flexibility.
