Supporting the Machine Shop Operations, the Machinist will be responsible for:
- Delivering Production jobs on time and within budget
- Setup, maintenance, and operation of Milling Machines, Lathes, CNC & NC Machines. Operating up to three machines at one time.
- Supporting the Manufacturing Engineering Team to develop process sheets for new products
- Reviewing samples, drawings or instructions to understand specifications of output
- Planning the sequence of necessary actions for the completion of a job
- Taking measurements and marking material for cutting or shaping
- First piece inspections using micrometers, calipers and 3D scanners to ensure parts are within tolerance
- Secondary duties such as deburring, welding, fabrication, assembly and other manufacturing tasks
- 5 years of experience as a Machinist. Experience setting up & running complete jobs using Milling Machines, Lathes, CNC & NC Machines.
- Experience with machining Titanium and Aluminum
- Experience working to /- 0.005 machining tolerance
- Familiar with G code and programming of CNC machines
- Excellent written and oral communications skills
- Ability to collaborate on multiple projects with small technical teams and other departments
- Strong customer centric focus and a driven work ethic to solve problems
