What are the responsibilities and job description for the Adjustment Specialist position at DELIVER IT?
DELIVER IT seeks a seasoned Adjustment Specialist to manage our property and casualty claims – primarily worker's compensation and commercial auto. This role requires a strong background in carrier-side adjusting, with a focus on finding optimal solutions that balance cost-effectiveness and quality outcomes.
This position reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer, offering broad autonomy to operate with increasing authority as trust and competence are established.
The ideal candidate is a self-motivated problem-solver with excellent communication skills, able to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Must have 5 years of carrier-side adjusting experience
- Prior experience in California Work Comp Claims, Commercial Auto – BI claims, and a solid understanding of liability and comparative negligence is preferred
- Able to obtain a California Independent Adjuster's License within 9 months of hire
Key Responsibilities:
- Stay current on open claim statuses
- Collaborate with adjusters to develop action plans for claim resolution
- Manage claim reserves and track costs
- Work with stakeholders to keep costs low without compromising quality outcomes
