Job Summary :
The Parcel Material Handler plays a critical role in warehouse operations, responsible for handling, organizing, and processing parcels and materials. This role ensures timely and accurate movement of goods within the warehouse, supporting shipping, receiving, and inventory processes while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
The starting hourly rate for this role is up to $20 / hour.
Key Responsibilities :
- Parcel Handling : Load, unload, and sort parcels and packages from trucks, conveyor belts, and storage areas.
- Inventory Management : Accurately scan and label parcels, ensuring all items are properly tracked in the warehouse management system.
- Material Organization : Organize and store parcels and materials in designated areas to optimize space and workflow.
- Equipment Operation : Safely operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyor systems, to move materials.
- Quality Control : Inspect parcels for damages or discrepancies and report any issues to supervisors.
- Team Collaboration : Work closely with warehouse team members to meet daily operational goals and deadlines.
- Safety Compliance : Follow all warehouse safety protocols and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- General Maintenance : Maintain a clean and organized work area by performing basic housekeeping tasks.
