Onsite Inventory & Logistics Coordinator – Bloomberg Chicago (Full-Time)

Position Overview:

Delivery & Distribution Solutions (DDS) is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Onsite Inventory & Logistics Coordinator to support our valued client, Bloomberg, at their downtown Chicago location. This individual will serve as the primary DDS representative onsite, responsible for managing equipment inventory, coordinating local deliveries, handling customer service tasks, and performing administrative support duties.

This is a hands-on role suited for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys multitasking between inventory control, logistics, and direct customer support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inventory Control & Stock Management
  
  
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels of Bloomberg equipment within Plant 1011.
    
    
  • Perform internal equipment movement and manage SLOCs (storage locations).
    
    
  • Inflate and replenish air pouch inventory used for returns.
    
    
  • Receive and process incoming equipment orders using SAP.
    
    
  • Coordinate consolidation and shipments back to New York (Metro) location.
    
    
• Customer Service & Communication
  
  
  • Serve as a daily point of contact for Bloomberg's internal team and clients.
    
    
  • Make outbound calls to coordinate equipment returns, deliveries, and issue resolutions.
    
    
  • Provide order updates and ensure effective communication with all stakeholders.
    
    
  • Monitor and manage queues related to equipment return orders.
    
    
• Data Entry & Order Management
  
  
  • Process and manage up to 100 equipment orders per month.
    
    
  • Create and update Stock Transport Orders (STOs) and purchase orders.
    
    
  • Accurately post daily equipment orders by agreed cutoff times.
    
    
• Local Delivery & Logistics
  
  
  • Perform on-foot deliveries of Bloomberg equipment within a 0.6-mile radius of the facility.
    
    
  • Ensure same-day delivery fulfillment with a 2-hour delivery window.
    
    
  • Generate and manage ASNs (Advanced Shipping Notices) as needed.
    
    
  • Coordinate return pickups, label distribution, and packaging.
    
    

Requirements:

• Proven experience in inventory control, logistics, or warehouse operations.
  
  
• Familiarity with SAP or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is a plus.
  
  
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
  
  
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  
  
• Ability to lift and transport small-to-medium equipment during local deliveries.
  
  
• Reliable, punctual, and capable of working independently onsite.

• DDS will cover any required background checks.
  
  
• This position reports to both DDS leadership and works closely with Bloomberg’s internal management team.
