As a Sr Principal Engineering Technologist , you will lead the management of Storage System Software Solutions across our portfolio, collaborating with talented product teams and engineers to develop and implement cutting-edge strategies.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing innovative ideas for Dell's storage portfolio by staying at the forefront of advancements in AI infrastructure, workload orchestration, MLOps platforms, and GenAI applications.
- Architecting detailed product designs, specifying functionality, performance, integrations, and hardware requirements.
- Leading prototyping and testing to validate design and functionality, focusing on performance and scalability.
- Refining designs based on feedback, testing, and evolving requirements.
- Working with cross-functional teams, partners, and customers to create POCs and MVPs, ensuring seamless integration of components and technologies and mentoring junior team members or peers.
To succeed in this role, you will require:
Essential Requirements- 12 years of related experience in a professional role with a Bachelor's degree; or 8 years with a Master's degree; or 5 years with a PhD; or equivalent experience along with proficiency in AI-driven operations, telemetry systems, and data integration, transformation, connectivity, and protocols.
- Deep experience in designing, developing, and maintaining resilient software infrastructure and SaaS platforms.
- Expertise in data migration, replication, synchronization, and familiarity with backup software solutions.
- Proficiency in developing integrated security software solutions and a strong understanding of data security principles, including encryption and access control.
- In-depth knowledge of storage management systems and APIs, including configuration, monitoring, and optimization.
