1. Job Title : Phlebotomy Supervisor.
2. Brief Job Description : Oversee all activities and supervise approximately 30 in-house Phlebotomy staff members. Work with the off-site Phlebotomist Supervisor to ensure the department is staffed and properly scheduled at all times. Help with payroll and corrective action of employees. Maintain established department policies and procedures, objectives, safety, environmental and infection control standards.
3. Years of Experience Required : 5 years of management experience as a Phlebotomy Supervisor; 3 years of specialized training as a Histotech and fully proficient in all areas of Pathology.
4. Required Certifications : BS in Science and / or MBA. Certification as a HT (Histotech). Active MA Phlebotomist License.
5. Patient Population : Adult medical patients.
6. EMR (Charting System) : EPIC.
7. Rotating Shifts Required : Rotate onto weekends and holidays as assigned to assure uniform quality of laboratory services.
