Who will you be working with?
Shuttlewagon, a Company is looking for a mechanical assembler. The Assembler will work collaboratively with others in similar roles to produce highly engineered, custom built mobile material handling machinery for rail related markets by using mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic assembly techniques as well as welding, electrical wiring and hitching on overhead cranes and jibs.
How will you make a difference?
As a member of the Services Division, you will be responsible for assembling fabricated parts, components, or units at floor stations. You will test and calibrates parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications. You will also use hand and power tools to assemble units according to product specifications. You will be required to identify units that fail tests or tolerance levels and repairs as necessary. Team members may assist less experienced team members with knowledge and expertise.

What will your typical day look like?
Read and follow standard work, BOM’s, blueprints, routings, specifications and other diagrams / instructions in order to build and assemble parts and equipment in an accurate and timely fashionObtain necessary tools and equipmentHandle material, tools and equipment manually or with jib crane, performing own hitching as requiredMaintain high quality standardsConsistently maintains level of productivity as determined by managementPrepare machinery for shipping
Wiring Principal DutiesFollow wiring diagrams / schematics to connect electrical cabling accurately and timelyPerform wiring sequence for point to point direct or harness wiringWire mounting panels and junction boxes per documentation / instructionsCreate or re-wire harnesses and cables per documentation
General DutiesFollow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations.
