Della Infotech is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team in Plainfield, IL. This role will play a key part in ensuring the production of high-quality products.
About the Role
The Quality Assurance Specialist will be responsible for ensuring that production meets established standards and quality control systems. Key responsibilities include:
• Providing quality leadership on shift
• Performing microbiological testing of water, distilled products, and ingredients
• Conducting process audits to monitor compliance with global risk management and North American standards
• Inspecting raw materials to ensure conformance to product specifications
• Performing sensory analysis of in-process products, finished products, and ingredients
• Conducting analytical testing on in-process products, finished products, and ingredients to ensure adherence to product specifications
Management Responsibilities
This position reports to the Quality Team Lead. As a secondary function, they will be expected to gain an understanding of calibration, maintenance, and basic repair of testing equipment used for quality analysis in the laboratory and in production.
Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a degree in Science or Engineering or 3-5 years of analytical experience in a laboratory or in a plant environment. Familiarity with HPLC, spectrophotometer, alcolyzer, and other equipment used in analysis of distilled products and ingredients is a plus. Prior experience working in a production laboratory directly supporting on-site production and/or processing departments is required.
Work Environment
This role requires flexibility in working on weekends. The first week will involve a 7am-3pm schedule, followed by training while on crew. Shift timings may change in the future from 40 hours to 40 hours. The salary for this position is estimated at $65,000 per year, based on the location and industry standards.
