Overview:
Delinium AI is seeking a motivated and passionate Computer Vision Engineer Intern to join our innovative team. In this role, you will work alongside our AI experts to develop, train, and optimize computer vision models, ensuring their effectiveness in real-world applications. This is a paid, fully remote internship opportunity.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in designing and training computer vision models using datasets for image and video analysis tasks.
- Prepare, clean, and preprocess image and video datasets to ensure high-quality input for models.
- Collaborate with engineers to fine-tune models for tasks like object detection, segmentation, and classification.
- Evaluate model performance, analyze results, and suggest improvements to enhance accuracy and robustness.
- Contribute to the creation of tools and pipelines for automating data preparation and model evaluation.
- Stay informed about the latest research in computer vision and apply cutting-edge techniques to projects.
- Document workflows, maintaining organized records of datasets, experiments, and model iterations.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Familiarity with computer vision principles and deep learning techniques.
- Proficiency in Python and experience with computer vision libraries (e.g., OpenCV, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Knowledge of data manipulation and preprocessing tools (e.g., Pandas, NumPy).
- Experience with visual data formats and annotation tools for computer vision tasks.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to debug model and data issues.
- Capability to work effectively in a remote, distributed team environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with pre-trained computer vision models and transfer learning techniques.
- Familiarity with popular datasets (e.g., COCO, ImageNet) and image augmentation techniques.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) for computer vision model training and deployment.
- Interest or experience in building and deploying real-time computer vision applications.
