Principal Software Engineer | Industry Leading Investment Manager
A leading global investment firm that has rapidly grown in assets under management is building out a new Predictive Analytics platform. They have expanded into several asset classes, including credit, equities, fixed income and real estate and as a result looking to leverage a shared platform to capture cross-asset class opportunities.
This firm has invested heavily in its technology and infrastructure, which has fueled strong investment returns and growth over the past 5 years. They are now a fully tech driven business that uses massive data sets, proprietary algorithms, and statistical models to identify patterns, forecast market trends, and optimize trades in real time. This role will support applications and infrastructure that power real time monitoring, analysis, and trading systems.
You’ll join a growing, world-class team and focus on designing and building their next-gen compute platform, which is one of the core engines of the business.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain web applications and systems.
- Implement robust front-end and back-end solutions to meet business requirements.
- Ensure scalability, performance, and security of applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and release new features.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems.
- Conduct code reviews and ensure best practices are followed.
Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in Python for both backend engineering of web applications and AI/ML model development.
- Demonstrated expertise in Kubernetes and Object Oriented programing (python, C#, java)
- Extensive experience in full-stack development, including both front-end and back-end technologies.
- Solid command of software design and architectural patterns.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to develop relationships with stakeholders, communicate project status, and understand detailed business requirements.
