SUMMARY: Assists the accounting department with the accounts receivable and clerical functions.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Communicates with the appropriate staff on necessary documentation adjustments to ensure compliance.
· Tracks and reports on billing trends
· Monitors documentation in Therap: PCP’s, service notes, Behavior Plan data, HRST, and dimensional records (financial and operational context) ensuring that they are up-to-date and maintained in the database system.
· Reviews and analyzes aggregate program data and qualitative reports to determine trends or to identify issues that require further monitoring or technical assistance.
· Works with program leadership to monitor and achieve compliance with the transition from PCIS2 to LTSS reporting requirements, maintain databases, and generate documents associated with database management.
· Review payments in Therap and LTSS, reconcile to Sage, and make sure payments submitted are received.
· Participates in Therap and LTSS training, webinars, and meetings.
· Create and send invoices to clients for goods and services
· Process payments from customers, including cash, checks, and credit cards
· Compare customer payments to invoices and resolve discrepancies
· Keep track of customer accounts, payments, and invoices
· Generate financial reports and statements that show the status of accounts receivable
· Contact clients to remind them of outstanding payments
· Respond to customer questions about bills or payments
· Protect sensitive information and support internal and external audits.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
· Minimum associate’s degree in business/accounting preferred or commensurate experience.
· Experience in Accounting Software
· Microsoft Office suite including Excel, and Word.
· Previous accounts receivable, healthcare, non-profit, grants funding experience highly preferred.
· Extensive digital and original documentation processing experience required.
· Experience with financial audits desired.
· Knowledge and understanding of Maryland Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA) service delivery systems and legal and regulatory requirements preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
