TITLE : Finance Manager Education and / or experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in the business field. Experience in accounting, business administration, and data processing using computer technology applications is required and essential. Individual must possess excellent verbal and writing skills and aptitude in mathematical computation and reasoning.
SUMMARY : This position is responsible for the accounting operations of the organization, to include the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls designed to mitigate risk and enhance the accuracy of the company’s reported financial results.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Manage accounting staff to promote cross training and job growth
- Oversee accounts payable and receivables process
- Ensure the proper posting of payroll in a timely manner
- Compile and complete financial statements for presentation to the board and finance committee
- Ensure that periodic bank reconciliations are completed
- Develop departmental budgets with the various Department Heads and assist CEO with banking relationships.
- Compile and collect data for inclusion in budget and other special requests / reports such as year-end grant reconciliations and budget modifications, annual cost reports, annual wage and benefit surveys, and yearend audits
- Provide financial analyses and forecasting as needed
- Maintain an orderly accounting filing system and chart of accounts

- Preparation of journal entries
- Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions
- Ability to adapt to a continually changing and growing environment
