Under limited supervision, receives, issues, and inventories materials and supplies. Prepares records, reports, files, and other recordkeeping as required. May toad, unload, and deliver materials on trucks/tractor trailers and transports to remote locations. May identify and negotiate with vendors to purchase auto/truck parts.
Primary Duties:
1. Under limited supervision, regularly and customarily issues materials and supplies via requisitions and/or computer systems. Also accepts, verifies, inspects and places in stock materials and supplies received, including selling of materials to customers. May be assigned to direct other Stores personnel or work alone, as required
2. Responsible for maintaining, ordering and/or recommending ordering the approved of materials and supplies. Performs associated record keeping in the prescribed manner.
3. Takes, prepares, maintains and completes all inventories, records, report, requisitions, files, forms and record keeping as required or directed
4. Operates company vehicles, including forklifts to load and unload materials, performs related rigging and slingng, picks up and delivers parts and materials as required or directed.
5. Inspects md makes minor on all tools and equipment returned to or in the storeroom.
6. Prepares a report on all such equipment that is in need of more extensive repair. Uses hand tools to erect, install and/or fabricate shelving, bins, cabinets or similar items in the Stores area
7. Prepares, packages and makes necessary arrangements for all outgoing shipments.
8. Reports all indications of missing materials.
9. Maintains high standards of safety and housekeeping at all times
10. Performs all other related or less skilled work required or directed.
11. Cooperates fully with all other members of the organization in other departments and must be able to deal properly with the public in the best interest of the Company.
12. Will work such hours as are permissible or may be necessary or requested because of unusual or emergency or to maintain continuity of service, including scheduled shifts
Minimum Qualifications:
- Ability and willingness to perform physically challenging tasks for extended periods of time (for example, lifting up to 50 pounds, entering and exiting traders, bending, twisting, kneeling. pulling/pushing, standing, walking and squatting).
- Ability and willingness to wear and use safety equipment as required by Federal, State, local and company regulations (for example, ear plugs, steel toed shoes: work gloves and hard hat).
- Ability and willingness to work in a variety of work environments including outdoors In all weather conditions and in nosy and dirty environments, with proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Ability and willingness to travel to various Company facilities and vendor locations. in order to {nake deliveries or pick-ups. as required.
- Ability and willingness to operate a forklift, an electric pallet truck and other store related equipment. including hand tools.
- Ability and willingness to work overtime as required.
- Must successfully pass qualification test.
- Must successfully pass a medical screening to include a drug test.
- Must successfully pass a Criminal History Background Check. Must possess a valid driver's license.
- Must be 21 years of age or older and possess an interstate class A CDL with HAZMAT endorsement and a medical card OR the ability to obtain each within SIX months of hire date.
- Hourly wage will vary based on a candidate's skills, qualifications, experience, and other factors: USD $32.65/Hr. - USD $32.65/Hr.
