Job Description
- Manage the GPS Department including GPS equipment inventories, purchases, etc.
- Create and/or procure site models for use with GPS controls systems on project sites.
- Project site setup including base station setup and localization of the area for use with GPS enabled heavy equipment.
- Generate detailed earthwork, utility, and E&S control take-offs
based on an accurate reading of blueprints, geotechnical reports,
requests for proposals and related documents and transfer data into HCSS
HeavyBid software for review with the team. - Correspond with clients, customers, engineers, subcontractors,
suppliers and other entities as necessary to meet project requirements
and fulfill role as GPS Coordinator. - Review bid package documentation, plans and proposal specifications
to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate for RFP's,
RFI's and subcontractor quotes. - Work within our Delmarva family as a valued member of the Management Team.
Qualifications
- Experience with Trimble GPS Systems Including Machine Control
- Proficiency with Trimble Business Center
- Proficiency with Agtek Earthwork 4D
- Proficiency with AutoCAD
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Including Project
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task a variety of projects/tasks simultaneously.
- Read and scale civil engineering plans.
- Understand the importance of quality and accuracy.
- Demonstrates effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in order to meet project deadlines.
- Willing to work to meet project deadlines.
