What You Will Do
The Client is looking for the subject matter expert who is familiar with the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) - Labworks or similar products. Candidate has a knowledge and hand on experience with LIMS configurations, implementations, administration, and reporting responsibilities.
Candidate shall be familiar with full SDLC support of the LIMS implementation. Most of the work must go thru phases of requirements, development, testing, Production and Postproduction verification. Support would be needed on 24X7 basis thru out the year. Candidate shall be able to monitor the system for continuous production use, take appropriate action in case of alerts and emails notification and resolve the situation in a timely manner with a minimum impact on the operations.
Currently there is need to support the operation ongoing basis. Candidate must learn the standard operating procedures, process, and line of business. The Client would also like to automate the current Labworks system in future and support would be required. Candidate shall maintain the current system, attend meetings, handle day to day operation issues, perform hands on work in Lab. Candidate shall support for weekend upgrade and patching events.
Who You Will Work With
Work with people from different areas of Lab (Organic, Micro, Physical Chemistry etc.) with varying degrees of technical experience draw using Visio or Blueprint.
Who You Are
A LIMS SME with knowledge of one or more LOB areas such as Production, infrastructure maintenance, maintenance, and work management, etc.
Our minimum requirements for this role:
Required
· Bachelor’s degree.
· 5 years of professional IT experience that includes one or more of the following areas:
o Business analysis, process design, process workflows and applications development/support with strong emphasis on end user satisfaction.
· Developing requirements and supporting LOB applications.
o Supporting one or more of the following types of systems: Lab operations, Plant management.
o System testing (manual or automated).
· Experience in the SDLC methodologies and best practices.
· Experience reviewing architectural structures, identification of architectural issues and demonstrated ability to perform analysis and make recommendations to improve application process design.
· Diverse knowledge of and experience with any of programming languages, including Web Focus, .NET, JAVA/J2EE, UNIX and SQL.
· Diverse knowledge of and experience with any of scripting languages, including Java Script, .NET, Visual Basic, Excel M.
· Ability to use proven requirement gathering techniques that enable the identification of accurate and well-defined business requirements.
· Ability to conduct business analysis, data analysis, workflow or Process flow analysis and fit-gap analysis
· Familiarity with COTS implementations and risk mitigation strategies to implement COTS.
