Work You’ll Do
Provide tax planning and consulting work for multinational clients in order to help them comply with both U.S. and international regulatory requirements and develop an optimal worldwide tax strategy. Develop models for international tax compliance efforts and issues to automate and streamline various tax processes using Excel functionalities and VBA programming. Coordinate client service teams in implementing global income tax provision tools including reviewing the completion of tax provision packages, coordinating client relationships, enhancing the tax provision tools, assisting with client trainings, and responding to technical questions raised by clients. Coordinate Earnings and Profits (“E&P”) projects by coaching consultants and interns on the E&P technical areas, reviewing work product, and preparing the deliverables (E&P memos and work papers).
Requirements
Bachelor's (or higher) degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Law, Business Administration, or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent)
Eighteen (18) months as Tax Senior or related occupation gaining experience preparing federal income tax workpapers and income tax returns for C-corporations using GoSystem and Corptax software.
Experience must include one year of:
assisting clients with preparing global income tax provisions as required under ASC 740, including calculating deferred tax balances, taxes payable, GL reconciliations, and effective tax rate reconciliations on quarterly and annual bases;
performing international tax compliance and consulting services, including preparing Forms 1120-F/5471/5472 and accompanying statements;
performing state and local tax compliance and consulting services, including analyzing state nexus and preparing state and local tax returns;
preparing tax workpapers, tax returns, and accompanying schedules for partnerships (Form 1065) and high net-worth individuals (Form 1040);
researching technical tax issues to provide tax compliance and consulting services to clients utilizing BNA, CCH, and LexisNexis;
analyzing the implications of changes in U.S. tax laws and performing calculations for GILTI, BEAT, and FDII;
performing Earnings & Profits calculations, including identifying and calculating balance sheet and P&L E&P adjustments, unrealized foreign exchange gains/losses, intercompany interest, reserves, and prepaid expenses; and
preparing quarterly estimated tax payments for corporations and preparing schedules for federal and state income tax returns and state franchise tax.
Position requires approximately 40% domestic travel.
Salary: $94,973.00 - $167,180.00/year
