If so, we are looking for an energetic Payroll Resource Team – Lead Analyst to assist with ensuring accurate Payroll/Talent transactional compliance within our Finance Organization, part of Deloitte Services LP.
The Payroll Resource Team is part of the Payroll and Personnel Solutions organization. The team is responsible for specialized programs, processing, and quality control.
Work you’ll do
- Delegate and monitor completion of work tasks for the diverse activities of the Payroll Resource Team.
- Act as a business advisor for Payroll Leadership, Talent and other stakeholders as it relates to new programs or changes to existing programs.
- Coordinate with other groups within the organization, such as: Legal, Tax, Technology, Talent, Global Mobility, Payroll Taxes, Payroll Processing, Technology Services and other Payroll teams.
- Work closely with the Resource Team Manager to analyze existing processes to increase efficiency/internal controls and provide meaningful feedback to leadership.
- Execute special projects assigned by management.
- Serve as a remote resource to the support the Payroll business continuity plan by learning and executing the biweekly payroll processes for both partner and employee cycles and being in the rotation for running these payrolls on a regular basis.
- Effective problem solving, interpretive and analytical skills; strong interpersonal and teaming skills; ability to manage multiple, concurrent projects for both self and team; ability to foster professional, productive work climate with teams and form partnerships with internal customers and stakeholders; professional maturity to give and receive constructive feedback; ability to utilize good business judgement in dealing with confidential and sensitive information.
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert on payroll Expert regarding the team’s main processes and programs. Advise and coach US/India team members on main payroll field procedures.
- Advise and collaborate with Talent and other stakeholders in the development of new processes and changes to existing processes. Work with impacted payroll team(s) to implement new and/or improved processes.
- Oversee annual Long-Term Travel (LTT) process for the both partners and employees to ensure accurate and timely reporting. Including development of LTT system, communications, review of data, calculation of gross-up, and creation and processing of necessary manual adjustments to income. Lead team through processes and act as escalation point for non-routine issues. Advises controllers and leaders on LTT policy.
- Conduct regular reviews of compliance and effectiveness of processes, procedures and internal controls; develop/implement initiatives to improve processes and optimize performance. Works closely with Resource Team Manager to institute best practices and ensure all process documentations are up to date.
- Provide consultative services for other departments such as Talent, Office of General Counsel, Technology, Payroll Taxes, Global Employer Services, Payroll Controls, India Operations, National Benefits Group, Call Center and Global Mobility.
- Lead team members in special projects as assigned by management.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree or 5 years of payroll and SAP experience.
- This role is an essential function located in the Hermitage TN office (Nashville). In-office attendance is necessary to support teamwork, face-to-face interaction with payroll staff, and working with items or equipment that are at the employer’s place of business.
- Ability to travel 0-10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
Preferred:
- Experience processing payroll.
- CPP or FPC certification is a plus but not required.
- MS Access, Salesforce, and ServiceNow experience is a plus but is not required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
