Deloitte is seeking candidates for our AWS Business Development Representative (BDR) position within our Government & Public Services (GPS) practice area.
Work You’ll Do
The AWS Business Development Representative (BDR) will work with our AWS Channel Sales and cloud Sales Executive teams to drive our joint AWS business and will be at the front lines of the sales process. The BDR will perform a wide variety of activities focused on managing incoming sales leads, qualifying them, and providing handoff and support to the appropriate sales team as needed throughout the sales process. The role involves:
Sales Campaigns:
- Partner with the AWS alliance and sales teams to develop and qualify sales opportunities for pursuits. These opportunities can come from events, conferences, marketing campaigns, or direct client outreach
- Develop deep knowledge of their alliance(s), the Deloitte CSM team, and the alliance’s sales team.
- Develop strong relationships with AWS inside sales teams and lead development representatives to build and execute joint demand generation campaigns.
Supporting Sales Efforts:
- Propose ideas for the alliance team to connect with clients, including customization of Deloitte eminence materials and distribution of relevant thought leadership to key stakeholders.
- Support the CSM team in monitoring and sharing relevant thought leadership, client & marketplace news, and alliance materials.
Establishing Contact and Monitoring Progress:
- Establish contact with identified leads by phone and monitor their progress.
- Qualify leads and share relevant marketing and/or eminence materials to develop the lead.
- Provide a strong lead and handoff to the Sales Executive team.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelors’ degree
- 4 years of experience in a similar inside sales role in consulting or information technologies
- Experience with top tier technology products (HW/SW) or cloud-based solutions
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
- Ability to travel up to 25%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
Preferred:
- Demonstrated experience with technology and AWS, with a focus on business development and negotiation
- Experience in the GPS space a plus

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $72,900 to $149,700.
You may also be eligible to participate in a sales incentive program, whereby you may be eligible to receive certain incentive compensation amounts based on achievement of certain sales goals set forth each year, subject to the terms and conditions of any applicable program document.
