Work you'll do
The responsibilities of Sr. Palo Alto Engineer may vary depending on your level of experience and skills. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Design & deploy on-premise and virtual Palo Alto Next Generation Firewalls and the suite of Palo Alto solutions to include Prisma and Cortex products, either as new deployments or to migrate from legacy platforms
Configuration of the firewalls including traffic / content filtering, routing, NAT, threat data, VPNs, etc. as well as integration with enterprise solutions like SSO and SIEM solutions
Plan, implement clean up, and troubleshoot firewall policies
Install and configure Palo Alto Products in a complex cloud environments including AWS (both commercial and GovCloud)
Communicate technical network and network security concepts to customers, including developers, architects, and managers
Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering to enhance deployments including participating in Agile sprints, supporting change management processes, and providing technical expertise
Represent Deloitte's technical, business, and professional values to customers, partners, and peers

Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree required
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the required clearance for this role.
- Expected to co-locate in your designated office/USDC location up to 30% of the time. Ability to travel up to 15% if needed.
- Must live in a commutable distance to or be willing to relocate to one of the following Delivery locations: Atlanta, GA; Charlotte, NC; Dallas, TX; Gilbert, AZ; Houston, TX; Lake Mary, FL; Mechanicsburg, PA; Philadelphia, PA
- 5 years' experience with Palo Alto tools
- 5 years' experience with networking practices i.e. Software-defined Networking (SDN), Network-based intrusion prevention systems (NIPS), Firewalls
- 5 years' experience in the cloud networking in complex cloud architectures and cloud workload security
Preferred:
- Prior professional services or federal consulting experience
- A history of delivering secure architectures in a federal/state environment
- Palo Alto certifications
- Cybersecurity certifications
