What are the responsibilities and job description for the Site / Civil Engineering Project Engineer position at Delon Hampton & Associates, Chartered?
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of engineering design documents including plans, reports and cost estimates for processing in the requisite jurisdiction;
- Assist in the preparation of shared exhibits for the client and other design team members;
- Develop and possess an understanding of the jurisdictional design standards and codes;
- Prepare Drainage Area Maps and Hydrology analysis;
- Assist in the preparation of design development plans including site layouts, grading, sediment & erosion control, roadways and utility plans;
- Assist in the preparation of material quantities;
- Assist int he design of storm drainage systems and stormwater management facilities; and
- Assist in the design document revisions required by the review agencies.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in civil engineering;
- Five (5 ) years of experience in site/civil land development design;
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration in Maryland or the ability to obtain a license within six months of employment;
- Excellent organizational and time management skills;
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment;
- Proficient in use of Microsoft Office suite;
- Proficient in AutoCAD and other industry design software;
- Proficient in technical writing and verbal communication; and
- Experience in Prince Georges County is preferred.
Salary : $45 - $55
