Delon Hampton & Associates, Chartered, a minority-owned professional consulting engineering services firm based in Washington, DC, is looking for a skilled and motivated Resident Engineer to join the team and contribute to a key infrastructure project in the region.
Responsibilities :
- Lead and manage construction meetings with clients, contractors, and construction management teams.
- Oversee required field testing and ensure proper execution.
- Ensure project permits are obtained, maintained, and properly implemented by the responsible parties.
- Confirm timely completion of daily field reports and other progress documentation.
- Review contractor’s pay applications and supporting documentation for work performed.
- Attend, document, and track progress during meetings.
- Review the contractor’s baseline schedule and monitor updates in monthly progress schedules.
- Assess and respond to submittals and Requests for Information (RFIs).
- Identify contract changes, determine their impact on cost or schedule, and prepare associated requests for proposals and work change directives.
- Coordinate inspection and testing requirements, and track the resolution of identified deficiencies.
- Generate and manage the closeout punch list, ensuring timely resolution of defective work and deficiencies during the project closeout process.
