What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Track Inspector position at Delon Hampton & Associates?
Delon Hampton & Associates (DHA) is seeking an experienced Senior Track Inspection Consultant to lead and mentor track inspectors, assist with inspection planning, and ensure compliance with TRST-1000 Standards and safety regulations in track maintenance and asset management.
Responsibilities :
Perform daily track inspections and mentor track inspectors in applying work processes for inspections, report generation, and presenting conditions requiring immediate action.
Mentor Track Inspectors and Management Inspection Staff as directed by the Senior Director and Management Team.
Assist in developing inspection plans and schedules to ensure compliance with the TRST-1000 Manual.
Support the Project Manager in developing cost-benefit analyses for new projects and evaluating impacts from project changes or change orders.
Ensure compliance with safety and operating rules while performing field duties.
Qualifications :
Minimum 10 years of supervisory experience in rail transit or as FRA Class 4 railroad-qualified, with extensive track inspection experience.
Knowledge of railroad track construction and maintenance processes.
Experience planning and executing track inspection assignments for teams of 10 to 30 inspectors.
Familiarity with track safety standards and ability to apply them in the field.
Strong skills in documenting non-compliance issues.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Proficiency in Maximo, including track inspection reporting, defect reporting, and compliance monitoring of Job Plans and Preventive Maintenance Programs.
Extensive knowledge of Optram, MaxTrax, and other systems used in track inspection and defect reporting.
Ability to utilize tools like Cognos, Maximo, MaxTrax, and Track Geometry programs to track performance and generate key metrics.
Understanding of the Track Inspection Training Program, including field training requirements and web-based reporting systems.
Experience mentoring and developing personnel in track-related functions, such as Track Geometry measurement, Track Surfacing, and Welding.
Ability to meet the requirements of a Senior Track Inspector.
