Position Overview:
We’re seeking skilled Estimators (Quantity Takeoff) to join our client's exceptional Estimating Team working on the Baltimore Key Bridge reconstruction. In this role, you'll be integral to preparing and negotiating Lump Sum estimates for the Key Bridge Rebuild Project. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the infrastructure industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review, analyze, and interpret contract documents (RFP, specifications, etc.)
- Conduct quantity takeoff and pricing for design-build infrastructure projects
- Collaborate with estimators, engineers, and designers to provide constructability feedback and value engineering for preliminary project plans
- Participate in Task Force Meetings and brainstorming sessions to develop effective solutions
- Identify, quantify, and manage risks throughout the estimating process
- Conduct site visits and investigations as needed to assess project conditions
Qualifications & Skills:
- Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred)
- 5 years of experience in construction/engineering, specifically in heavy civil infrastructure projects
- Solid understanding of project scheduling, cost control, engineering drawings, and specifications
- Knowledge of construction methods, techniques, and costs
- Familiarity with construction safety and federal/OSHA requirements
- Experience with CADD and 3D Modeling software is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Strong mathematical, computer, and analytical skills
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies
- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Must be able to meet deadlines and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Willingness to travel as required by the job
