Job Summary
The VDC / BIM Coordinator plays an integral role in supporting the VDC / BIM Manager in overseeing the coordination process, model management and other duties. They assist in maintaining model integrity and accuracy. Additionally, they contribute to maintaining high-quality workmanship and assisting in the successful completion of projects.

Responsibilities
As BIM / CAD Coordinator, collaborates on project management with designers involved with model integration
Attends kick off meetings with design and or operations staff at beginning of project to ensure Level of Development, scope, project details and contract requirements are understood before modeling begins
Attends coordination meetings and provides status updates
Reviews contract documents, identifies issues and develops solutions in coordination
Works with internal / external team members as applicable; checks shop drawings, conducts site visits, and assists others as needed
Develops, manipulates, and maintains 3D models utilizing Revit and Navisworks for projects during preconstruction and construction
Runs / obtains clash detection reports, documents and tracks clashes, through resolution
Reviews BIM model, makes / requests changes where appropriate
Works with PM Team to develop coordination schedule and notifies them of any issues or schedule concerns
Works with the Foremen to answer questions regarding layout, provide field support
Produces coordination drawings
Maintains project drawings files and ensures field staff has most up-to-date drawings
Requirements :
Good knowledge and understanding of BIM / CAD Coordinator and project management process in construction
1-3 years of BIM modeling and coordination
Experience with BIM software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, etc
Highly organized, detail-driven, and conscientious
The ability to read and understand construction drawings is essential
Must have knowledge of the appropriate codes and standards which govern design and operating requirements
Must have strong verbal and written skills in English
Physical Requirements
Must be able to traverse and inspect all areas of jobsite in all types of weather; this may include walking, climbing, reaching, bending, crawling, or stretching.
May require local travel.
