Job Summary
The Project Scheduler is responsible for the strategic planning, development, and management of our construction project schedules to ensure successful project execution. This role involves collaborating with project managers, field teams, trade partners, and external consultants to maintain accurate and efficient schedules from preconstruction through project completion.
The Scheduler plays a key role in risk management, progress tracking, and stakeholder coordination, ensuring that schedules align with project budgets, manpower availability, and material procurement timelines. Utilizing MS Project and scheduling methodologies, the Scheduler analyzes project timelines, identifies potential risks, and provides mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
This position requires a detail-oriented problem solver with expertise in Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling, earned value management, and construction sequencing. The ideal candidate has strong communication and organizational skills, the ability to adapt to fast-paced environments, and a commitment to delivering high-quality scheduling support to ensure timely and cost-effective project completion.

Responsibilities
Schedule Development & Management
· Develop and maintain baseline schedules, schedule updates, and look-ahead schedules for construction projects
· Assist with the development and/or review of pre-bid and post-award CPM schedules per owner requirements
· Develop schedule narratives based on budget and production insights from project managers, superintendents, and estimating teams
· Update Microsoft Project with monthly activity progress through coordination with project teams
· Conduct schedule impact analyses, including delay assessments and recovery strategies
· Coordinate with external scheduling consultants on deadlines, revisions, and updates on current projects
Stakeholder Coordination & Communication
· Work closely with project managers, field teams, and trade partners to ensure seamless schedule execution
· Lead or participate in schedule review meetings with project teams, estimating staff, and clients, documenting key takeaways
· Provide schedule reports and variance analyses to leadership, highlighting potential risks and recommendations
· Assist with RFP and proposal schedule development for preconstruction and bid opportunities
· Facilitate coordination between subcontractors to ensure alignment with the overall project schedule
Field & Risk Management
· Travel to project sites to support teams with schedule execution and progress tracking
· Identify and report schedule risks, proposing mitigation strategies to keep projects on track
· Ensure that schedules align with project budgets, manpower availability, and material procurement timelines
Required Skills/Abilities
· Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Project and/or Procore Scheduling Modules, with experience using Bluebeam and the Microsoft Office Suite for project documentation and collaboration
· Deep understanding of Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling techniques, including earned value management (EVM) tracking and forecasting schedule variances
· Ability to read and interpret construction plans, drawings, and specifications, ensuring accurate schedule alignment with project scope and milestones
· Strong analytical skills to identify scheduling risks, propose mitigation strategies, and make informed decisions under pressure
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective reporting, stakeholder coordination, and meeting facilitation
· Ability to foster strong working relationships with project teams, clients, and trade partners while maintaining a professional and solution-oriented approach
· Ability to make intelligent and quick decisions, working well under pressure, and when faced with unexpected occurrences or delays.
Education and Experience
· Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in Construction Management, or related Construction/Engineering major
· A minimum 5 Years of experience in a Scheduler or Scheduling focused role in Construction Industry
· Experience working on various Commercial, Institutional, or Private Sector projects is highly desired
· Clean driving record and license
