Job Summary
The Self Performance Manager is responsible for overseeing overall operations of Delphi’s tradecraft labor. He or she ensures that annual goals to support superior project delivery and maximize self-performance profitability are met, enhancing the margin on all Delphi projects. Other responsibilities include team development and building; overall compliance by Delphi tradecraft labor with company protocols and procedures; communication at executive level; project profitability and negotiation.

Responsibilities
Corporate
- Part of the Delphi Leadership Team which participates in setting Company goals and develops strategies designed to meet short- and long-range goals.
- Participate in annual strategic meetings to maintain a forward-thinking mission and vision for the company.
- Participate in regular evaluation of existing project delivery systems and processes to ensure Delphi achieves and maintains our “A ” “Best in Class” “Experts in our Field” status.
Business Plan Development and Management
- Develops and executes an annual Business Plan for Delphi’s tradecraft labor that includes budget proforma, revenue targets, staffing plans.
- Manages scalability of Delphi tradecraft self-performance to match overall company growth plan.
- Develops and manages supplier relationships to maximize profitability on materials.
- Provides monthly financial reporting and quarterly updates on progress in achieving plan goals and targets.
Project Planning and Execution
- Partners with Project Executives to assess carpentry tradecraft scope that can be self-performed on Delphi projects to enhance margins, and to control quality and schedule.
- Develops man hour and material estimates for scopes to be performed.
- Procures materials that will be owned in scope.
- Schedules manpower to meet project start and completion dates.
- Reports of project progress and profitability.
Client Satisfaction
- Provides best in class experience for Delphi project teams with a goal to be viewed as an asset to the project and a preferred alternative to other trade partners.
- Perform lessons learned with Delphi project teams to assess team process and performance as well as look for opportunities to improve both.
- Provides support to the project teams for work outside of scope when needed.
Employee Development
- Recruits skilled tradecraft staff capable of performing high quality work and meeting project timelines.
- Develops and Manages Apprenticeship program for incoming staff lacking experience.
- Builds high performance teams by assuring the availability of coaching and training; and providing development opportunities that create new opportunities for staff members.
- Demonstrates personal accountability, integrity and ethics and ensures team member compliance with corporate values.

Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, or Business Management preferred.
15 years in Construction Trade Management
Physical Requirements
Must be able to traverse and inspect all areas of jobsite in all types of weather; this may include walking, climbing, reaching, bending, crawling, or stretching.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
May require travel.
