Operating Room RN

WorkFit Medical Staffing is looking for a skilled and dedicated Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to join our dynamic surgical team. This position is critical in providing high-quality care to patients undergoing surgical procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the surgical process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain the operating room and surgical instruments
• Assist with the positioning of patients and provide necessary supplies for surgical procedures
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical staff to deliver optimal patient care
• Monitor patient vital signs and comfort levels during procedures
• Document all aspects of patient care accurately and thoroughly
• Adhere to sterile technique and infection control protocols
• Provide preoperative and postoperative education to patients and families as needed

Number of Positions: 2

Length of Assignment: 13 weeks with option to extend

Certs: ACLS PALS BLS- Preferred CNOR

Licenses: NYS RN

Float needed: no

Patient population: all ages

Patient ratio: 1:1 or 1:2

EMR: CPSI

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an operating room setting preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) is preferred but not required
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, instruments, and sterilization techniques
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Current certifications in BLS and ACLS are required; CNOR certification is a plus
• Ability to work flexible hours, including on-call shifts
