Essential Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive emergency medical care to patients with acute and critical health issues.
- Conduct detailed patient assessments, develop treatment protocols, and provide immediate medical interventions.
- Colloborate with a team of healthcare providers, including nurses and advanced practice professionals, to enhance patient care.
- Perform emergency procedures and utilize diagnostic methods to facilitate prompt care.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and care plans.
- Engage in departmental initiatives aimed at improving quality of care and increasing patient satisfaction.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior medical staff and students, fostering a learning environment.
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical institution.
- Board certification in Emergency Medicine is preferred; board eligibility may be considered.
- Active and unrestricted medical license in New York State.
- Relevant experience in an emergency medicine department is preferred.
- Current certifications in ACLS, ATLS, and PALS are mandatory.
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a dedication to patient-centered care.
