Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients presenting with a wide range of acute medical conditions.
- Lead a multidisciplinary team in the delivery of patient-centered care in the emergency department.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, order diagnostic tests, and interpret results to formulate treatment plans.
- Perform necessary medical procedures and administer treatments as indicated.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families to educate them regarding their care and treatment options.
- Participate in the continuous improvement of patient safety and quality assurance initiatives.
- Mentor and collaborate with APPs and other healthcare staff to enhance care delivery.
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
- Board certification in Emergency Medicine is required.
- Active medical license to practice in the state of New York.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an emergency medicine setting preferred.
- Current ACLS, ATLS, and PALS certifications are required.
- Strong clinical skills and the ability to work effectively in high-stress environments.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to collaborative care.
