Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care for hospitalized patients, including admitting, rounding, and discharging.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Conduct thorough assessments, order diagnostic tests, and interpret results to guide treatment decisions.
- Manage both acute and chronic medical conditions, ensuring timely interventions.
- Utilize evidence-based practices to enhance patient safety and quality of care.
- Educate patients and families on their conditions, treatment plans, and follow-up care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and hospital committees.
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
- Board certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine preferred.
- Active medical license to practice in New York State.
- Experience in a hospitalist or inpatient care setting is highly preferred.
- Strong clinical judgment and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
- Commitment to continuous education and embracing advancements in medical care.
- Work 12 hr shifts 7am-7p or 7p-7a
