Job Description:
Our client located in Springfield, MA area has an immediate opening for a Database Administrator to join their team. The DBA needs to be highly motivated, analytical, self-directed individual to fill a consultant position in a fast-paced environment. The resource will assist a team of Database Administrators responsible for creation, update and maintenance of schemas and databases in Oracle and PostGres to support development, testing and
migration of applications.
Responsibilities
- Oracle/PostGres database server software installation including upgrades and security patches
- Deploy the DDL to developer and testers schemas in Oracle/PostGres databases
- Prepare product test and business acceptance test environments with refreshing the data from production
- Design, development, testing and tuning of data migration jobs
- Design, development and testing of database migration plans
- Database, SQL and PL/SQL tuning
- Create/update documentation related to various DBA tasks
- Test and prototype new database features
Required
- Minimum of 3 years DBA experience in Oracle/PostGres databases in medium/large organizations
- Experience in UNIX/LINUX environments
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills(verbal/written) and interpersonal skills
- Experience on Cloud based database administration on Oracle / Postgres will be a plus
