Job Description:
Our client is seeking a skilled Engineering Technician to provide hands-on support in a high-voltage lab environment, performing electrical and electronic product testing. This role requires experience with electrical safety devices and UL testing to ensure product reliability and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a background in troubleshooting, diagnostic analysis, and lab testing of electro-mechanical and electronic systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct performance, reliability, and diagnostic testing on electrical/electronic products.
- Perform UL testing on electro-mechanical and electronic safety devices.
- Troubleshoot and analyze field return products, identifying root causes of failures.
- Provide engineering support for product development and testing initiatives.
- Set up and operate lab equipment, including oscilloscopes, voltmeters, HiPot testers, and programmable thermal chambers.
- Follow engineering documentation, including schematics, test plans, and technical prints.
- Analyze test data, draw conclusions, and generate detailed test reports.
- Work safely within a high-voltage electrical lab, adhering to safety protocols.
- Perform circuit troubleshooting, rework, and product testing as needed.
Required Qualifications:
- Associate’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronic, or Electromechanical).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a design or testing environment.
- Ability to work independently under engineering direction.
- Experience working in a high-voltage lab environment with safety compliance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Strong ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Experience troubleshooting AC/DC circuits, lab equipment, and test setups.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with electrical/electronic safety devices such as Ground Fault Circuit Interrupters (GFCIs).
- Knowledge of UL test procedures and standards.
