Job Description:
Our client is seeking a Technical Service Coordinator to support their team in coordinating and planning technical service activities within this division of the business. The ideal candidate will have strong technical acumen, communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while ensuring seamless service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communicate directly with customers regarding technical support requests, troubleshooting needs, scheduling changes, and service updates.
- Respond promptly to internal and external customer technical inquiries and resolve issues efficiently.
- Manage and schedule all asset service resources, ensuring optimal deployment of technical personnel.
- Provide technical support to customers, account managers, and field service technicians.
- Develop detailed and accurate service proposals, including technical specifications and project scope, for the Asset Service Department.
- Coordinate with customers, account managers, and supervisors to ensure seamless execution of service engagements and projects.
- Oversee order review, booking, acknowledgment, processing, and invoicing with a focus on technical requirements.
- Procure materials, purchase or rent equipment, and schedule specialized technical resources based on project needs.
- Track project status and provide technical updates to customers and internal stakeholders.
- Generate reports on project invoicing, manpower scheduling, and technical resource allocation.
- Work closely with the Asset Service Supervisor to approve and schedule technical resources and contract labor.
- Ensure strict adherence to technical quality standards and compliance across all service processes.
Skills and Experience:
- 2 years of experience in technical service scheduling, sales, purchasing, or inside sales, preferably in the automation/control industry.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with ERP systems and service management platforms is preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
- Excellent negotiation skills and understanding of technical service contracts.
- Ability to manage multiple technical projects while maintaining customer commitments.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with shifting technical priorities.
- A proactive, assertive, and team-oriented approach to service coordination.
