What are the responsibilities and job description for the Software Engineer - Infra position at Delphi?
Delphi is seeking someone who is or has the ability to become a world class backend and infrastructure engineer. We value technologists, people who are experts in the tools they use and are endlessly passionate about mastering their craft as an engineer.
Our backend stack is primarily built on top of Python, Postgresql, ECS, FastAPI, Lambda, Redis, S3. You will be in charge of owning and extending our infrastructure for clone creation & clone conversations, as well as writing critical application code for certain pythonic backend services.
Required Abilities
Strong experience with cloud infrastructure :
Strong understanding of networking and interest in it
E.g. If asked to explain how TLS or TCP works could you?
Strong experience with Python.
Strong experience with databases and caching.
Containerization experience
Nice to Haves
Experience and passion with designing and standing up extensible and scalable infrastructure.
IAM / Access Control configuration experience, CloudFormation / Terraform (IaC)
SQS / SNS Pub Sub
Do you nerd out about the Reactive Manifesto?
Strong Familiarity with security
Understanding of basic security principles such as least privilege
How to design and create systems that are inherently secure
Can you name a certificate authority off the top of your head?
