What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Assurance/Non-Destructive Test Inspector (QA/NDT Level II) position at Delphinus Engineering?
GENERAL SUMMARY: Understand and enforce the Quality Assurance (QA) program to ensure company production efforts are compliant with customer directives, requirements, specifications and the Quality Management System. Ensure Nondestructive Testing (NDT) inspections are compliant with customer directives, requirements, specifications, and approved procedures. This individual will be qualified to properly set up and calibrate equipment to interpret and evaluate results with respect to applicable codes, standards, and specifications. This individual will be familiar with the scope and limitations of the NDT methods for which qualified/certified. This individual will be able to organize and report the results of NDT inspections. Ensure the requirements set forth in the company processes and QA Manual are adhered to and enforced. Other duties include working outside of the NDT field in a Tiger Teamwork environment and assisting with welder qualifications. Frequent travel and overtime may be required. Strong analytical skills required.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Certified VT, MT, PT, UT Thickness (a plus), Level II, IAW ASNT-TC1A and NSTP-271
- Experience reviewing QA Workbooks
- High level of familiarity with NAVSEA STD Items, MIL-SPECS, and TECH PUBS applicable to U.S. Navy vessels.
- Must have or be able to possess a DOD Security Clearance.
- Must be willing to travel and work overtime when needed.
- Technical writing ability a plus.
- Support an effective QA program that meets all the requirements of the Submarine Safety Requirements Manual, the System Certification Procedures and Criteria Manual for Deep Submergence Systems, the DEI-MSD Quality Management Systems Manual, and other higher-level authority guidance.
- Responsible for performing the duties and responsibilities set forth by the company Quality Management System and all other higher-level program requirements
- Maintaining personal qualifications and training to support all assigned functions
- Review and ensure OQE is complete and correct prior to signing as QAI.
- Verify and witness all torqueing evolutions that are required to be documented and ensure the torqueing evolution is properly recorded and signed for certification that it is completed.
