Description GENERAL SUMMARY : Understand and enforce the Quality Assurance (QA) program to ensure company production efforts are compliant with customer directives, requirements, specifications and the Quality Management System. Ensure the requirements set forth in the company processes and QA Manual are adhered to and enforced. Ensure support processes comply with the Quality Management System. Other duties include working in a Tiger Team work environment. Travel and overtime may be required. Strong analytical skills required.LOCATION : San Diego, CA.REQUIREMENTS : Must be a U.S. Citizen Experience reviewing QA Workbooks or similar High level of familiarity with NAVSEA STD Items, MIL-SPECS, and TECH PUBS applicable to U.S. Navy vessels. Must have or be able to possess a DOD Security Clearance. Must be willing to travel and work overtime when needed.PREFERRED : Technical writing ability a plus. Experience working with Special Emphasis Programs, e.g SUBSAFE, DSS-SOC, Level I, Nuclear, Electrical, etc.DUTIES : Support an effective QA program that meets all the requirements of the Submarine Safety Requirements Manual, the System Certification Procedures and Criteria Manual for Deep Submergence Systems, the Delphinus-MSD Quality Management Systems Manual, ISO-9001, NAVSEA Standard Items and other higher-level authority guidance. Responsible for performing the duties and responsibilities set forth by the company Quality Management System and all other higher-level program requirements Maintaining personal qualifications and training to support all assigned functions Review and ensure OQE is complete and correct prior to signing as QAI or QAS. Verify and witness Inspection steps / checkpoints (I) required by associated contracts OR ensure (I) checkpoints are completed by a qualified person. Perform Audits and Surveillances in support of oversight of the Quality Management System and associated processes. Coordinate Corrective Action Requests responses, including assisting with root cause analysis, short and long term corrective actions and final verification of corrective action effectiveness.
