GENERAL SUMMARY : Experienced Warehouse Worker to join our Delphinus Team in our daily warehouse operations. There is an immediate opening for a person / s who is familiar with warehouse operations. Warehouse worker responsibilities include receiving, pulling inventory, loading and unloading trucks, storing materials, picking, and packing orders. The goal is to increase organization, efficiency, profitability and customer satisfaction. The warehouse worker is expected to interact with customers in a manner consistent with the company image. Must be able to work and communicate effectively with other team members, vendors, and company employees.
LOCATION : Norfolk, VA.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high for audits.
- Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, and ship).
- Receive and process warehouse stock products (pick, unload, label, and store).
- Verifies material received against Job Material Lists (JML) and procurement file data.
- Performs receipt inspection and identification of both government and contractor furnished material.
- Tags for identification and stores material in designated storage areas segregating government furnished and contractor furnished material and equipment.
- When requested by the Warehouse Manager, prepares stored material for shipment to jobsites.
- Receives excess material and accomplishes disposition for reuse or disposal as directed by the Warehouse Manager.
- Maintains clean and environmentally controlled storage space and maintains building security.
- Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization.
- Complete inventory logs.
- Operate and maintain warehouse vehicles and equipment.
- Support and participate in Delphinus continual improvement programs / training to comply with all policies and procedures.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Manager / Assistant.
