Coordinate the planning, delivery, assessments and ongoing improvement of teaching activities required for Dyslexia Screening
Implementation. Coordinate and Lead PBIS Initiatives in the District. Coordinate, schedule, and lead IAT meetings and
Interventions in the District. Consult with teachers about ongoing interventions and assist with progress monitoring of interventions.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Valid Ohio Department of Education Teaching License, Reading Endorsement preferred
- Hold or be willing to obtain a Multisensory Structured Literacy Certification
- Have passed the KPEERI Exam by the start of the 2023/2024 School Year
- Experience in Literacy Content. (Pre-K to 5 Preferred)
- An ability to develop strong positive relationships with students, teachers and families.
- Meets all mandated health requirements (e.g., a negative tuberculosis test, etc.).
- A record free of criminal violations that would prohibit public school employment.
- Complies with drug-free workplace rules and board policies.
- Keeps current with advances in technology and workplace innovations that enhance productivity.
- Successful Teaching experience. (Pre-K to 5 Preferred)
- Effective organizational planning and project management skills.
- Demonstrates current knowledge and the ability to apply broad-based curriculum designs and instructional technology
applications that support the diverse learning needs of students.
Essential Functions:

- Facilities building-level activities that promote academic excellence in a nurturing environment, while working with the
principal and district administrators to bridge communications to teaching staff.
- Administer all Dyslexia screenings, evaluate the results, send reports to teachers and parents, implement and monitor
all Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 interventions.
- Assist in the scheduling, facilitating, and leading district IAT meetings, assisting with carrying out student interventions, and
notifying the building/district Special Education Officer.
- Assist in organizing and leading Multidisciplinary Teams formed in the district to address the requirements of House Bill 436.
- Work collaboratively with the Allen County ESC personnel to schedule and carry out both required and beneficial Professional
Development for the staff at Delphos City Schools.
- Articulates a clear philosophy and shared vision of learning. Upholds board policies and follows administrative guidelines/
procedures.
- Advances the district's professional image. Maintains open and effective communications. Promotes the district's mission,
philosophy, and vision.
- Collects, analyzes, and disseminates instructional strategies data to improve student instruction and academic achievement.

- Facilitates, leads, and attends meetings (e.g., department, data days, grade-level, cross-grade level, building, leadership, etc.).
- Facilitates, inter/intra team/grade connections relevant to students' educational needs.

- Helps mobilize the community to maintain a strong commitment of support for the school district.

contributions made by staff at each level.
- Assists with student testing programs. Analyzes test results. Provides leadership for instructional modifications and
interventions that enhance student learning and improve test performance.
- Provides guidance, communicates expectations, and shows an active interest in student progress.
- Helps staff resolve problems that impede student participation in appropriate learning activities.
- Upholds the student conduct code. Maintains high expectations for behavior and performance.
- Leads the Delphos City Schools PBIS team and assists with Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 PBIS Interventions
- Monitors safety concerns. Works with stakeholders to manage or eliminate risk factors.
- Assists with collection, verification, and recording of program information to ODE as directed.
- Maintains accurate records and submits reports on time.
- Respects personal privacy. Maintains the confidentiality of privileged information.
- Reports suspected child abuse and/or neglect to civil authorities as required by law.
