What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sleep Technologist Per Diem Nights position at Delray Medical Center?
Summary
Responsible for performing Sleep studies ordered by a physician for the diagnosis and treatment of Sleep Disorders. Evaluates patient response to therapies; defines sleep staging and other polysomnographic parameters such as: ECG, airflow, ventilation and respiratory effort, gas exchange by oximetry, transcutaneous monitoring, continuous blood pressure monitoring, snoring, and body positions.
Qualifications
EDUCATION:
Minimum: High School diploma
Preferred: Associate’s degree in Respiratory Therapy or related area.
EXPERIENCE:
Prefer two (2) years technical experience in polysomnography (PSG) and PSG scoring.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE/REGISTRATION:
BLS certification
Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) credential
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
Course in Polysomnography or on the job training
