Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Analyst with 1-2 years of experience to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing invoices, reconciling accounts, ensuring timely payments, and supporting the overall accounts payable (AP) function. This role requires strong analytical skills, a keen eye for accuracy, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
This role will sit within the Finance department and report to the Chief Financial Officer.
Responsibilities
- Process, review, and verify invoices, client reporting, and payment requests for accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of vendor payments, including ACH, wire transfers, and check payments.
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, including accruals and account reconciliations.
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation in compliance with company policies and audit requirements.
- Collaborate with internal departments and external vendors to resolve invoicing issues and discrepancies.
- Support AP automation and process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency.
- Assist in generating reports and providing analysis on accounts payable metrics as needed.
- Stay up-to-date with best practices and changes in accounts payable regulations and compliance.
Experience
- 1 years of experience in accounts payable, accounting, or a related field.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent experience preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or similar ERP systems).
- Strong Excel skills and familiarity with other Microsoft Office & Google Cloud applications.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and accounts payable best practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with vendors and internal stakeholders
