The Manager, Network Analysis, is responsible for leading a team of analysts in developing, analyzing and recommending near-term airline route network strategies on a route and a city level to maximize overall profitability of the airline. The Manager will also own the working relationship with international Joint Venture partners.

Primary Functions

  • Manage a set of markets to maximize profitability and competitive positioning
  • Lead a team of individual contributors, helping develop the next generation of Delta leaders
  • Prioritize and manage multiple simultaneous workflows and projects
  • Coordinate the relationship between Delta and our international JV partners
  • Create team-wide processes to align the network and schedule planning process across Delta and its JV partner airlines
  • Forecast new markets for Delta service
  • Identify opportunities to reallocate aircraft from low performing markets to high performing markets
  • Negotiate with JV partners to advocate for Delta’s interests
  • Develop and present network initiatives
  • Analyze changes to the competitive environment
  • Develop PowerPoint presentations that clearly articulate strategy, recommendation, benefits and timelines
  • Concisely communicate recommendations to all levels of management
  • Collaborate with other departments (PRM, Sales, ACS, Legal, finance, etc) to achieve divisional goals

What You Need To Succeed (minimum Qualifications)

  • 3-5 years of relevant airline commercial experience
  • Experience in negotiations, international partner relationship management, and a diplomatic interpersonal mindset
  • Strong skills in strategic thinking, financial and economic modeling / analysis, project management, and oral and written presentations
  • Empathetic leadership skills for team management, and a commitment to servant leadership
  • Confident executive presence and oral communication skills; the ability to think on your feet in an environment with senior leaders
  • Refined storyline and narrative skills allowing for the independent construction of executive-level slides
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and to leverage resources across all divisions at Delta
  • Deep knowledge of Delta’s network and the airline competitive landscape
  • Extensive experience with PowerPoint, Excel, and database querying
  • Advanced knowledge of Delta’s analytical databases (RPAD, FPS, MIDT, DOT O&D Survey, T-100, DDS, etc)
  • Strong understanding of how to effectively query, aggregate, and manipulate data
  • Top-tier verbal and written communication skills
  • Results oriented and capable of meeting or exceeding deadlines with attention to detail and follow through
  • Must be performing satisfactorily in current position
  • Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data
  • Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles
  • Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency
  • Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States

What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (preferred Qualifications)

  • Prior network planning, revenue management, sales, or fleet planning experience
  • Master's degree in quantitative field (Business, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering or related)
  • Knowledge of SAS or AirVision
  • Foreign language skills (preferably Spanish)
