As a NetDevOps Architect you are a specialized architect that combines network engineering and DevOps principles to streamline and automate the management of Delta's network infrastructure. This role focuses on improving the efficiency and scalability of network systems using automation, version control, and continuous integration / continuous deployment (CI / CD) practices.
In summary, you will help bridge the gap between networking and software development by applying automation, testing, and continuous improvement methodologies to network management.
Here are some key responsibilities of a NetDevOps Architect :
- Network Automation : Automating repetitive tasks such as configuration, monitoring, provisioning, and management of network devices (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls) through scripts, tools, and frameworks like Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or Terraform.
- CI / CD for Network : Implementing CI / CD pipelines tailored for network changes, enabling faster deployment of network configurations and reducing human errors in manual configurations.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC) : Using coding practices to manage network infrastructure, ensuring that network configurations can be treated similarly to application code (stored in version control, tested, and rolled back when necessary).
- Collaboration with Development Teams : Ensuring that the network infrastructure supports the needs of software applications, enabling seamless deployment, scalability, and performance.
- Monitoring and Analytics : Setting up and maintaining automated monitoring tools for network performance and troubleshooting issues proactively.
- Security and Compliance : Applying network security best practices in automation pipelines, ensuring network policies
