The Senior Specialist – MRO Contracts will be responsible for the drafting, development, review, stakeholder management, negotiation, and approval of Delta TechOps MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul) services contracts including, vendor supply agreements, consignment agreements, repair and overhaul agreements, license agreements, non-disclosure agreements, lease documents, and other agreements necessary to support the MRO business.
The Senior Specialist – MRO Contracts will report to the Manager – MRO Contracts and operate under the authority of the Delta Air Lines Law Department, complying with defined contract standards and coordinating with Delta's Law Department and other stakeholders to seek approval of deviations from the approved standards. This role will primarily support the Delta TechOps MRO Sales, Customer Experience, and Service Delivery groups and work directly with customers and stakeholders to develop agreements and resolve issues collaboratively.
This role requires a strong contracts background and experience with various maintenance agreements, purchase and sale agreements, consignment agreements, and the ability to successfully collaborate with internal and external attorneys, internal stakeholders and customers to develop and execute agreements.

Summary Of Responsibilities (not Comprehensive Of All Tasks)
- Develop and maintain standard agreement templates through collaboration with the Delta Law Department and with input from a variety of stakeholders (Finance, Engineering, Maintenance, MRO Service Delivery, Risk Management, etc.)
- Implement full contract lifecycle management methodologies to support the MRO sales organization and its Commercial Tollgate (CTG) process
- Support time-sensitive negotiations for the Agreements being contemplated and ensure timely and accurate contract development to achieve scheduled milestones
- Develop agreements with external customers and vendors to include but not limited to, airlines, leasing companies, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), and traders.
- Ensure approval and proper execution of all contractual documents
- Maintain electronic database of all contracts, including basic management of contracts, closing checklists, and other administrative functionality within Salesforce and other enterprise tools
- Manage intercompany agreements and transactions with Delta Air Lines
- Ensure the successful management of aircraft and engine/component agreements and other transactions

- Bachelor's degree in relevant field, or 7 years of industry experience required
- 3 - 5 years of contracts related experience, preferably in the aviation industry
- Attention to detail and the ability to produce high quality deliverables with minimal supervision
- Ability to communicate with Delta TechOps MRO Services executives and stakeholders as related to contract status, negotiations, or other commercial and contractual matters
- Ability to synthesize and summarize complex issues for escalation to executive leadership
- Ability to work quickly and competently to prioritize, manage, and multi-task in a fast paced working environment
- Ability to assess situational parameters and account for risk in decision-making
- Problem solving, solution minded approach to collaboration
- Proficient in use of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Salesforce
- Competent understanding of industry regulations as they pertain to aviation related transactions

- Experience with negotiating/implementing/managing contracts associated with aircraft component maintenance services (Power by the hour, Main Base Kit, Pooling, etc.), and/or aircraft engine services (drop-in maintenance visits, Power By Cycle Programs, etc.) a plus.
