Job Summary:
The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving beverages, maintaining the bar area, and providing exceptional service to guests. This role requires a mix of creativity, efficiency, and strong interpersonal skills to create a memorable bar experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drink Preparation: Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and guest preferences.
- Guest Interaction: Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner, offering drink recommendations and answering menu questions.
- Bar Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar, including restocking inventory and supplies as needed.
- Compliance: Follow all state and local alcohol service laws and adhere to company policies regarding responsible alcohol service.
- Cash Handling: Accurately process transactions using the POS system and handle cash and credit card payments.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with servers and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service for guests.
- Inventory Management: Monitor bar stock levels, notify management of shortages, and assist with inventory counts.
- Problem Solving: Address and resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally.
Qualifications:
- Previous bartending experience preferred but not required (training provided for the right candidate).
- Knowledge of drink recipes, mixing techniques, and bar equipment.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong multitasking and organizational abilities.
- Must meet the legal age requirement for serving alcohol.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
