Summary
The Certified Pharmacy Technician assists the pharmacist with the medication procurement process for hospice patients. This may include collecting all pertinent financial information, entering prescription order information into the system and filling orders, under the supervision of the pharmacy supervisor and/or staff pharmacist in accordance with state and federal codes and regulations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Ensures availability of accurate pharmaceutical supplies by receiving the order, entering order data into computer, and filling requisitions when required to do so.
● Manage ePrescribe data entry of medication orders.
● Answers phone, responds to routine questions, and notifies Pharmacist if needed.
● Performs other related duties as assigned to support achievement of company goals and objectives.
● Receives calls from client representatives and aids client representative in the procurement and care management of hospice patients.
● Receives calls from pharmacies and aids pharmacy representative in the procurement and care management of hospice patients.
REQUIREMENTS:
● High school diploma and Pharm Tech certification required, Associate Degree preferred
● Experience with various web browsers (Google Chrome / Firefox), Google Docs, Google Sheets or similar software
● Proven support level experience in Hospice, Home Infusion, or Hospital preferred
● Demonstrated ability to communicate
● Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail
● Excellent listening skills
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills
