Deposit Services Agent delivers superior service for the purpose of meeting the service needs of Delta Community Credit Union’s depository portfolio. The Deposit Service Agent will be evaluated and scored using metrics that determine the degree of success with the stated duties of this position. When necessary, the Deposit Services Agent may participate in projects. The Deposit Services Agent will timely and professionally process inbound and outbound calls. They will also cross-train other Deposit Services Agents. They will conduct other duties that are necessary to advance the objectives as well as meet the operational demands of the department as to account portfolio onboarding, oversight management, and processing of deposit related functions.
The Deposit Services Agent must become an expert with all of the products and services that are offered by Delta Community Credit Union with regard to depository oversight and management. They recommend product or service enhancements to improve member satisfaction and sales potential. Moreover, they will demonstrate the ability to problem solve and find solutions. This individual will be responsible for audit compliance as well as security, safety and maintenance of financial records, including utilization of fraud detection and mitigation skills.
Practices safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.

Essential Functions
- Make outbound calls and answer incoming calls from potential and existing deposit members
- Maintain and expand current client relationships as to deposit member services and products
- Respond to all methods of communication regarding deposit accounts, products and services; this may include email, fax, mail or other electronic methods
- Provide accurate and timely information to pre and post onboarded members as to deposit services and products
- Process new member account onboarding functions
- Ensure the correct account onboarding and validation documents required for membership is met and validated
- Perform file maintenance functions on deposit accounts per member request and validation
- Provides recommendation for member account products and services as deemed applicable
- Must be able to meet member service standards
- Must be able to work independently without direct supervision with little to no errors
- Must be able to peer train after 1 year of service at the deposit services agent level

Job Qualifications
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
Required Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years’ member/customer service experience in a credit union or financial services industry
- 1 years’ account application, account opening and deposit product experience
- Must be willing to work a full-time schedule with shifts that run from 8 am to 5 pm. The schedule may include rotating Saturdays and work from home.
- General knowledge of depository regulations
- Ability to build, foster and maintain positive professional relationships
- Must possess good problem solving and conflict resolution skills with little oversight or supervision
- Must be a proactive individual who demonstrates innovation, creativity, customer focus, results management and decision-making skills
- Complies with all Credit Union policies and procedures including those related to Bank Secrecy Act regulations
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or a related field
- 5 years’ member/customer service experience in a credit union or financial services industry
- Knowledge of credit union/financial services depository products
- Credit report knowledge and analysis skills
- Working knowledge of Symitar, Akcelerant (Temenos) and Microstrategy environments
- Bilingual
