Position Summary:
Delta Community Supports, Inc. is seeking a strategic and results-oriented Associate Director to join our dynamic team. The Associate Director is responsible for assuring compliance with all of the policies, procedures, standards and guidelines Delta Community Supports and state agencies within the Community Living Department. This includes supervisory responsibility for Residential Coordinators.
Reports To: Regional Director of Community Living
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the State Agency and the Office of Licensing to ensure all regulatory requirements are followed with regard to supports provided, the physical plant, and any visits or inquiries from either.
- Assist the Division Director in strategic planning and quality assurance efforts to attain a high standard of programming and services.
- Ensure that the health, safety and well-being of the individuals are protected at all times.
- Ensure all homes, outside areas and vehicles are well maintained and organized.
- Hire, train, supervise and evaluate Residential Coordinators and other assigned personnel; and review and approve personnel actions for all employees under their supervision.
- Maximize the development and capacity of staff to advance the mission and values of Delta.
- Promotes and demonstrates ethical and professional conduct at all times ensuring employees conduct themselves in an ethical and professional manner.
- Maintain positive, cooperative work efforts within the department.
- Ensure the full capacity of programmatic resources.
- Facilitate a positive, cohesive, coordinated agency approach to families, friends, outside agencies, and advocates of the individuals served by the agency.
- Promote continuous quality improvement projects and ongoing performance measures.
- Monitor the development and implementation of high quality individual support plans.
- Monitor compliance with individual’s ISPs, as well as Delta, state, and accreditation agency policies and procedures.
- Promote and participate in Delta’s Risk Management Program, addressing the health and safety of individuals and employees.
- Remain competent and current through self-directed professional reading, developing professional contacts with colleagues, attending professional development courses, and attending training and/or courses as directed by the Director.
- Collaborate with representatives of other public and private agencies in the development of services, programs, and other activities on behalf of individuals receiving services from the program.
- Cooperate with Department of Human Services staff in any investigation or inspection.
- Prepare reports as necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a social service field or public administration; Master’s Degree preferred; and
- Five (5) years in a supervisory capacity.
- Appropriate additional experience may be considered in lieu of the educational requirements.
- Valid driver’s license in the state of residence
